Brian Harman is a strong bet to make the cut because his accuracy-first game and elite short game are well suited to the demanding setup at Shinnecock Hills, where avoiding big mistakes is critical. He also has a proven US Open record, including a runner-up finish in 2017, and has made the cut in eight of his ten US Open. Out early Thursday too (which is expected as an advantage (wheather wise)).
